As you can see, DTAbook is not just an online bookstore but the extended family of like-minded readers interested in creating a legacy for the printed word and concern for our planet’s environment. To be very clear, our platform as a home of dedicated readers who have the same passion as we do – love for Vintage books and the future of environment.
Table of Contents
ToggleInspired by the staggering number of books discarded each year, we founded DTAbook with a simple mission: All this so as to come up with a solution for the book lovers that would not be endangering their lives. We learned how the production of books in masses is degrading the environment by cutting down trees, extensive use of chemicals, and emiting green house gases.
I thought that creating a website which selling and buying used books, would be a good idea because it is more environmentally friendly than new books selling websites. In linking readers to some of the best and vintage styled pieces, it is our hope to encourage the reading culture while protecting the environment.
Reviving Books, Reviving the Planet
It is for this reason at DTAbook, we hold books as an important tool that has the ability to change the lives of people. Our mission is twofold: so that we could breathe new life into the previously used books, and cultivate the culture of sustainable reading.
Preserving Stories, Promoting Sustainability
In dealing with pre-owned books, we handpick only the best and make sure that every book gets the home it deserves. This means that when we recover and conserve these literary works, we add more years to their existence as well as protect the educative and informative content they have.
Let me mention that the idea of sustainability is not limited to the physical preservation of the books. Our goal is to make the world a better place, and to lessen the burden of used books on our planet, so we encourage used books sales. New paper is conserved thus cutting on the usage of chemicals in the process while the books that are printed contribute to low emission of greenhouse gases as they are transported.
In this way, we can end up changing the society and turning it into a better one that read more.
A Sustainable Future for Books
This thought of reading being equivalent to being enlightened and the desire to take care of the environment is what made me created this piece. On a similar note, at Luxsento, we want to see the day when people prefer buying used books than new ones. A time where reading a book is as easy as saving our planet.
Our mission is to become a company that encourages telling thousands of narratives, preserving and enriching them as family heirlooms for generations to come as we adapt to the most sustainable way to proceed.
This is not just another online shop, where you would purchase a book and that is it; you become a part of DTAbook movement. Here’s what sets us apart:Here’s what sets us apart:
For this reason, at Luxsento, we are of the opinion that there is something rather magical about books that have been used. They have biography: a history of the previous reader, which only enhances the effect and makes the reading more personal. They depict a better way of experiencing the whole storytelling process.
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to join our journey. Come and browse through our items, find those treasures you never thought you would find and get that feeling of finding a new book in a library. Let us, the lovers of second-hand books, bring back the spark of used books and contribute to the preservation of our world and make it better through the stories.
